You can have the tank inspected and recertified.

We visited on our way home, wasn’t impressed and kept on driving. The newest NP in WV, New River Gorge is interesting.

RE: Anyone put a truck camper on a trailer?
Digressing, Nothing wrong with being "redneck". That means you know how to do stuff. I find that phrase a term of endearment, and it means someone who can get things fixed. It may not be pretty or even to code, but it will work.
What I might do is go for a Northstar 650SC, which should fit on the back of the F-150 I have, and not overload it, although I will probably have to beef up the suspension a bit. Either that, or a decent Lance or Arctic Fox TC, and just wait until I can afford a 3/4 ton for it.
If it needs a flatbed trailer, so be it One trailer I saw was what someone made where they could put their TC on it, drop all the jacks, then literally wheel it into the garage.
As for a small pull behind, the issue is storage, and storing a TC is a lot easier than a trailer, especially where I am.
If you get an Arctic Fox, plan on a dually truck, they are heavy.

RE: Design ideas for a platform to lower camper onto...
Rieco Titan offers a platform dolly for TC’s and Torklift offers the Camper Packer kits.

RE: Ford to release the F150 in Australia
Well I’m like 22 years old so I still subscribe to the “if it’s too loud, you’re too old” mantra.
Should be growing out of that phase of life here any day!
The blue truck is not that loud though. Flowmaster 40s. It’s not fast enough to be obnoxiously loud , lol.
The black one has a turbo
Between the motor and the tailpipe…..hahaha. It’s loud even if you’re tone deaf where you can’t h
Problem here you cannot modify the vehicles unless you have an engineering certificate. So the bulk of them eun around as stock
Wish we had a law like that here in the USA.

RE: F-250 vs F-350
If your mainly concerned with the ride quality a GM truck will probabky ride the best. There IFS handles and rides very well. I recently had a Ford owner in my GMC dually. He said "I wish my truck rode this smooth."
^^^^^^^This is so true.

RE: Maine Coastal Campground Suggestions
Bar Harbor KOA. Beautiful sunsets, lobster dinners, good amenities but pricey.
That KOA is way overpriced.

I would put in a Roadmaster rear swaybar, Timbren double convolute kit and Bilstein shocks.

RE: SC to Maine, our first long trip
Personally, I would not spend a penny in New York but Acadia National Park in Maine is a must see. PA has some fantastic railroad museums. If you are planning on passing thru Baltimore be advised that the tunnel does not allow anything carrying propane so you need to avoid it. Good luck on your trip.
Obviously you have never spent any time in the BEAUTIFUL Adirondack Park, 6 million acres of both public and private land. Some of the best hiking and paddling in the USA.

RE: Camping Recommendations For Yellowstone
We will be traveling through Yellowstone / Grand Tetons late August/early September for 4 or five nights and need a camping spot non serviced outside the park but within an easy drive to the main attractions. Have a 26’ TT pulled by truck. This is our first visit so any recommendations for camping and must do things to see in the parks would be appreciated. We are strong hikers/ bikers.
Dave
We stayed at Grizzly RV Park, West Yellowstone. It's a short drive from there to the entrance of Yellowstone. There is a ranger station on that drive. You can get a map or answers to any questions. Also there is a Grizzle/Wolf Discovery Center where you can see wolves up close. And a small shopping area if you need souvenirs, etc. plus a grocery nearby.
Grizzly RV Park is the best.

RE: HELP PLEASE... Hitch and extension ?
Have you weighed your truck/camper? I don’t believe a 10’ floor 17’ overall length truck camper weighs 2k. You will find that the camper is closer to 3k+ lbs. ready to travel and your truck is grossly overloaded. Having the tailgate down doesn’t make your short bed truck a long bed truck. Adding any trailer is just adding to your overloaded truck.

RE: Norcold gas & electric fridge
Barry, I see that your refrigerator is in the slide out of your Host Cascade. The refrigerator will run hotter due to it side venting. I installed an arpRV with dual fans in my Arctic Fox 990 and it made all the difference in how the refrigerator cooled. Check them out.

I think it’s fantastic that these people use their free time to clean up after the slobs of this world. I would volunteer if it was in my backyard.

I carry a 4’Louisville step ladder across my back seat of my truck, just for the side awning, but it comes in handy for other tasks.
